This is just the quickest of blogs to tell you more about our fantastic Indirect Access Service Gravity.

This simple and robust solution works by either prefixing your calls with our Indirect Access code 14004 or by programming it into your speed dial or phone system. All calls are routed over the Cable & Wireless network and the system works with both ISDN & Analogue lines from BT.

A standard feature of Gravity is Call Recording with recordings stored online for playback, download or deletion. There are a number of features that makes Gravity unique; such as setting Working Hours, the ability to change the Presented CLI, Agent Tagging, Destination Control (call barring) and Call Volume Alerts.

Introducing Pay-Tel

Teleproject UK is delighted to announce the launch of Pay-Tel, the telephone payment solution that is fully compliant with PCI DSS 2 regulations. Using the telephone keypad to input data, Pay-Tel is designed to integrate seamlessly with CRM systems and without disruption to important call recording facilities and storage.

With credit and debit card fraud still a major concern, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI), set up by the likes of Visa and American Express, requires that all retailers and businesses wishing to take payments over the phone must adhere to its strict regulations. Pay-Tel is designed to do just that; to protect the private information of payers and so reducing the risk of fraud and returned payments. 

Developed by our technical partners BCH Digital, Pay-Tel is available as a bolt-on with our number translation services such as One to One and One to Many. Pay-Tel meets with all 12 PCI compliance requirements regarding transactions and storage of data for debit and credit card payments made over the phone. Using DTMF technology, Pay-Tel suppresses the tones entered from the caller, call-handler and any call recording equipment being used, the secure information is then passed directly through to the businesses CRM over a secure link either HTTPs or XML format (other formats are available on request). This process ensures a safe and secure transaction with only part of the data collected by the IVR and so no sensitive information is ever stored.

Introducing – One 2 Group

After several months of testing we are proud to introduce One 2 Group a new inbound call management solution designed to deliver a call to up to nine different destination numbers simultaneously.

Here are a couple of ways that One 2 Group can be applied in both a sole trader and customer service / call centre environment:

Mobile Twinning:

In conjunction with either an Area Call or Non Geo number hosted on the Active Inbound platform the One 2 Group feature will deliver incoming calls to both your mobile and landline simultaneously giving you the flexibility to answer calls on the most convenient or cost effective handset. The unanswered line is cleared instantly. One 2 Group can provide a true One Number solution and is often more effective than a traditional hunt group or follow me service.

Hosted ACD (automatic call distribution):

One 2 Group can be added to any of our menu driven services such as Auto Attendant and Virtual Reception. Having selected a department option your customers call will be delivered to up to nine different agents, with the first available taking the call. As a hosted solution your agents could be located in the same office, across multiple sites or even at home.

By combining One 2 Group with our Call Whisper feature it is possible for your agents to effectively respond to calls for multiple clients/projects, simply be allocating each a unique telephone number.

As always Call Recording with online storage for download, playback and deletion is available as an added option.

What’s New @ Teleproject UK

Where to begin……..

Well in terms of new stuff there have been a number of developments on the Active Inbound Call Management platform, firstly access to the platform is now via https secure login, which is the first step towards offering a fully encrypted version of our Inbound Call Recording solution a development that is eagerly anticipated and on target to be available before year end, possibly sooner.

Still with Call Recording, Percentage Based Archiving has now gone live and feedback from one of our larger call centre clients is that this simple addition has saved their team leaders many hours each week when they are going through their agent/quality control procedures.

To cap it off we have recently added Agent Tagging to our Call Queuing solution to make it even easier to track the call recordings of individual call centre agents for quality control etc.

Call Recording business has been great and it is always very satisfying to present our fully managed hosted solution which costs a few hundred pounds to set up to a buyer that is on the verge of spending upwards of £10,000 for a box onsite that may even be obsolete before the lengthy maintenance contract runs out!

BUT this isn’t all we have been up to………..

Oh no, we have been thrashing the expense account whilst telling every call centre manager in the UK (OK not everyone, but loads) about the benefits of the Active Inbound call management system for managing all of your non geographic & geographic phone numbers and provisioning services such as One 2 One Translation, Call Queuing, Hunt Groups, Call Whisper, Fax 2 Email, Call Conferencing and Call Recording. This is a great offering, the product is second to none, and our rates are extremely competitive, so the take up rate has been very good. If you are currently using Opal, Gamma, Kingston or the BT Architect service for your inbound traffic, we really should talk!

Other developments include the increased capacity of Active Conference our instant voice conference service. It has proved so popular, and there was me thinking that this market was saturated……. Clearly not. It would be fantastic to hear from any potential partners that feel they could market this easy to use PAYG service to an existing client based or captive audience!!

Finally, we are still seeing a steady growth in the number of small businesses and sole traders that are contacting us via recommendation for Virtual Phone Numbers. I love these enquiries, entrepreneurs are my favourite people and I will always do my best by them, so long may this trend continue.

Call Recording – Update

August 12, 2010

Great news….

Development of our call recording products is under way with percentage based recording being added very soon. We have had ‘record on demand’ now for some time and this has become the excepted method for NOT recording credit card details and is therefore widely used.

I expect Percentage based recording to be hugely popular with organisations that are looking to monitor the quality of service that their staff and agents are providing to customers.

There are more developments planned for our call recording solution, but you will need to call me to hear more!

What’s New @ Teleproject UK

Really not sure where to start, the last three months have been crazy busy, loads has happened and I have failed pitifully at my attempt to keep this blog up to date !

I am not going to get this all down in one go, or do some of the latest developments justice if I rush this article, so I am just going to highlight a few bits.

International Numbers:

They are here…….. Teleproject UK can now offer both International Freephone and International Local numbers for most destinations in the world.

These are virtual numbers, so you can for example you can get a New York local number and answer the call at your London office. Just like all of our numbers they can be managed online and come with a host of optional features such as call recording, call queuing, voicemail, hunt groups, divert 2 mobile and virtual reception.

Details will be added to the website very soon, in the meantime get in touch if there is a particular international number that you require.

Mid Call Transfer:

I can’t believe that this new feature has been available for over 3 months and I have yet to big it up. Put simply by creating a list of virtual extensions via the online control panel you can quickly transfer callers to another department or colleague.

Our virtual numbers have always been pretty clever, but this takes it to another level, your incoming number is now acting like a virtual phone system.

Mid Call Transfer is available to all existing and new customers and can be activated in a flash !

Active Agent:

We have always believed in thanking people who introduce and recommend us to new customers, but now we have made it official with our new partner programme that includes Active Agent.

Conference Call Service

During a meeting last week I was absolutely staggered to hear that a potential new client was paying 10p per minute, per caller for their hosted conference call service. Now I have to confess we were having a couple of beers at the time of this revelation, so the next day I put in a call to check that I wasn’t hearing ‘double’ and to my surprise further investigation revealed that their total monthly spend was in excess of £3,000 !!

Wow… we have an amazing call conference service, that is simple to use (I mean real simple) and costs just 3p per minute, per user. It does everything the 10p service does and more for 70% less.

Conclusion… hosted call conference services are great for the environment, less travelling therefore less omissions etc, great for your pocket, less money spent on travelling etc and market research, well quick chat in pub followed by an hour surfing the net, reveals that Teleproject UK really could save you ££££’s

When the delegate rings they are greeted by a recorded message asking them to enter a unique access code and record their name. Once the code has been accepted, the caller will be introduced to the meeting, alerting existing members which new delegate has joined.

VA – Dictation Line

A ‘Dictation Line’ is Born – April 2010

OK here is my latest snippet of information, a tiny glimpse into the exciting world of hosted communications where only the fittest survive, and the possibilities are endless!!

Project 1: – Dictation Line

They say that the best ideas are the simple ones and this project is a case in point.

I picked up an incoming enquiry from a very nice lady responding to one of our e-shots. She was a Virtual Assistant (VA) and had been on the lookout for a dictation Service and had tried a number of software packages, but had yet to find anything that either worked or was easy to use.

At this point we didn’t actually have a product called a Dictation Line, but it didn’t sound like rocket science. All she was after was a telephony service that her clients could call to dictate a letter or two and a playback facility!

The solution came by adapting our One 2 Voicemail service so that a message of up to one hour long could be left. The final product came with an 0844 Access Number, login details for our call management platform to playback or download the recordings and a personalised Intro Message along the lines of the one below:

“Thank you for calling the VA Dictation Line. Your recording can last for a maximum of one hour… please do remember to speak clearly, giving your contact name at the start of your dictation. You can start recording after the tone… Here comes the tone”

Now there hasn’t exactly been a rush for this yet, but I am thinking that at just £25 set up & £5 per month, my phone will soon be ringing off the hook !!
